This Saturday, Miguel Oliveira achieved his best qualifying result of the MotoGP season so far, securing third place on the grid for the Catalan GP in Barcelona. He trailed behind Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati) and Aleix Espargaró (Aprilia).
The Portuguese rider from CryptoDATA RNF MotoGP didn’t have the best start to the day, as he crashed during the second free practice. However, he made a strong recovery and has been one of the standout performers so far. In the interview with the official broadcast, Oliveira commented:
– It was an interesting morning for sure. I had a big crash on turn five, I recovered from that. I already felt good with the bike and finally get the first row is a good indicator for the race. Hopefully we can get a good start and get the job done.
