Miguel Oliveira was the slowest rider from Aprilia on Friday during the Indian MotoGP GP. The CryptoDATA RNF MotoGP Team rider, who finished 17th in both sessions of the day, was asked about the first corners of the Buddh circuit.
Aleix Espargaró mentioned that without turns 1 and 3, Aprilia could have a dominant performance, similar to what happened in Barcelona. In response to these statements, Oliveira said: ‘It seems the slow corners are killing us a little bit, but we can make time in other places. So, we focus on that’.
When asked if the first three corners could be decisive in the races, the Portuguese rider replied: ‘It’s a place where for sure in the race it’s easy to make a mistake. So, I think everyone will just have to be consistent to not miss the braking markers. Otherwise, your race is gone. So, yeah, it might be a place very critical to decide some places. But I think anyone who’s in the front probably won’t risk that much to brake super late into the turn one’.
