A week ago, Marco Bezzecchi suffered an injury during training, requiring surgery for the broken right clavicle. However, this did not prevent him from participating in the MotoGP Indonesian, where he achieved third place in the sprint race this Saturday.
The Italian rider from the Mooney VR46 Racing Team told the official broadcast that this result was unexpected, expressing his gratitude to the team, the medical staff, and his coach:
– No, well… Until Wednesday morning I didn’t even know if I would start or not. So, it’s fantastic to be here; I was a bit lucky in the race, but I was very, very fast. It’s fantastic to get this podium after the operation on the collarbone. The team made an unbeliavable job. I really want to thank Carlo [Casabianca], my trainer, and also Dr. [Giuseppe] Porcelli and all of his staff because they gave me the possibility to come here, and also all my team. Tomorrow will be very hard for sure, but I will give my all as always.
