Andrea Iannone is set to make his return to competition next season. Following his suspension due to a positive anti-doping test, he will be competing in the World Superbike Championship with a satellite Ducati team.
This was revealed by Gigi Dall’Igna speaking to the official WSBK website. Ducati Corse’s general manager stated:
– Andrea was an important rider for Ducati. When I joined Ducati, the first win that we got was with him in Austria in 2016. So, I remember very well that he has for sure a big heart and he tries to do all the best every time. And this is something that I’ve to respect. […]. I’m very happy that he joins again one of our sattellite team. And I would like to say good luck for him for his comeback.
