Miguel Oliveira finished the MotoGP Indonesian GP in the 12th position. The rider from CryptoDATA RNF MotoGP Team was as high as sixth, but when he was in eighth place, he was involved in a collision with Brad Binder (Red Bull KTM), which definitively took away his chances of staying in the top ten.
The Portuguese rider expressed regret over the bad choice of the soft rear tire, which became evident early on as not the best option. Nevertheless, he ensured that lessons were learned from the Mandalika round:
– The race was… clearly not the best for us. We started quite well, but soon enough we found out that the rear tyre choice was not the best one. A shame for that, because I really felt that we’ve made a step forward with the setting of the bike and also yesterday’s sprint race was quite good for me. So, I’m really disappointed with this, but we need to take the positives. We did learn something of the setup of the bike. We just have to keep on pushing in the next races and do the best.
