Honda’s new Hornet reveals its full potential. The best power-to-weight ratio in its class is provided by a 67.5 kW/91CV, 75 Nm engine mounted in a 190 kg package.
Sport mode uses EP level 3 and EB level 1; the definition of the HSTC system is to offer maximum performance but minimum intervention. Standard mode is an intermediate mode and uses level 2 for the EP, EB and HSTC parameters. Rain mode uses the lowest EP parameter, level 1, for a less aggressive power delivery and engine brake effect (EB) level 2 and HSTC level 3. Finally, User mode allows the driver to choose between 3 settings for each parameter and save them in this mode for future use
This new parallel twin-cylinder, eight-valve unit has a good sound at high rpm and plenty of usability in the mid-range, combined with a new lightweight frame that offers agile handling and strong acceleration.
