Fourteenth in Buddh for the Indian Grand Prix this sunday, Jack Miller was unable to implement the changes made to the KTM RC16’s set-up and was therefore “forced” to use the same ones from Saturday, thus maintaining the problems that have been affecting him for ‘a few rounds now’, he said.
On the fact that on saturday he mentioned that he had some changes to the bike’s set-up that could help him, something that apparently didn’t happen, the australian replied: ‘We tried a different set-up this morning at the Warm Up. It wasn’t many things just a few and I wasn’t entirely happy with it. I tried it again and we went back to what I knew from the Sprint race, to take it into the main race, and I didn’t do well in turn five, eight, nine, ten… in those corners I wasn’t able to bring much speed or much confidence’.
The australian concluded: ‘It’s something that’s happened to us in the last few races, apart from that grip problem, and what we tested at Misano could be an improvement but we have to get it right. The guys are working on it and there are other things that the team and I can do together to try and improve our speed in general’.
