Luca Marini was one of the happiest men in Mandalika yesterday when he secured his first pole position in MotoGP. However, the main race of the Indonesian GP didn’t last long for the Italian rider.
On the third lap, and after already being penalized with a Long Lap, the rider from Mooney VR46 Racing Team suffered a crash while battling for position with Brad Binder (Red Bull KTM).
Marini’s retirement was inevitable, while the South African rider continued on the track and was later penalized with a Long Lap. In the following video, you can watch the incident.
