Miguel Oliveira continues to be in good shape, achieving his second top-five finish of the season at the MotoGP Catalan GP. However, the CryptoDATA RNF MotoGP Team rider was unable to keep up with the pace of the factory Aprilia riders, who secured an unprecedented 1-2 finish.
When asked about the differences between the official team’s RS-GP bikes and his own, #88 answered: ‘I would like to know specifically, but we need to go deeper into the data and really with the performance guys try to do a deeper analysis on what we can do with this 2022 bike that can help us to bring the performance over the race closer to the factory guys’.
And could the good results be a way to have more help from Aprilia? Oliveira commented: ‘Yeah, yeah, for sure. When you do the results and you start asking for things, then it makes sense for them to help you because you have the results to back up. Let’s see. For the moment what I know is that I need to stay focused on this machine, get the maximum out of it, which I’m trying to do. That’s my job at the moment’.
